Two methods of preservatives used in general production processes.
Oiling
All stainless steel wire ropes must be oiled before leaving the factory.
First, the fiber core is immersed in oil and the steel cord can be lubricated from the inside.
Secondly, the surface oiling can uniformly coat all the stainless steel wire surfaces in the strand with a layer of anti-rust grease.
Among them, the rope for mines with high friction and mineral water should be coated with black oil and grease with strong grinding and water resistance;
For other purposes, it is coated with red oil and grease with strong film and rust resistance, and requires a thin oil layer to keep it clean during operation.
Plating
Generally divided into galvanized, aluminized, coated nylon or plastic.
The galvanized steel is further coated with a thin coating of steel wire and a thick coating of galvanized steel after pulling out the steel wire. The mechanical properties of the thick coating are lower than that of the smooth steel wire rope, and should be used in a severely corrosive environment;
Aluminized steel wire rope is more resistant to corrosion, wear and heat than galvanized steel wire rope. It is mainly used in fishing trawl ships and mines containing H2S, etc., which are produced by first plating and then pulling;
Nylon or plastic coated steel wire is divided into two types: the former for the static cable and the latter for the moving cable.
